FourPTA Involvement

The Daniels Run PTA plays an essential role in creating memorable experiences for our students and families. With their support, we host events such as the Back to School Picnic, Dragon Day, Donuts for Dragons, Bingo Night, the Book Fair, and Movie Night. These activities strengthen our school community and build lasting connections.

Our community partnerships are a cornerstone of our success. We collaborate with Lands & Waters to promote environmental stewardship and work with the GMU Baseball Team to provide student mentorship opportunities. Events like AVID Family Night, Field Day, Welcome Walk, and the Staff Basketball Game bring families and staff together. Additionally, our partnership with A Place to Stand enhances our community outreach and support initiatives.

sixPositivity Project

At Daniels Run, the Positivity Project is at the heart of what we do. This commitment is recognized through the Green Shield award and our active Positivity Project Kid Crew. We engage in meaningful charitable efforts, including a bake sale for charity and drives to collect socks and coats for those in need.

City of Fairfax

The City of Fairfax supports innovation and safety at Daniels Run by funding resources such as our Innovation Space, Science Lab, and the position of Safety & Security Specialist. We are grateful for their continued investment in our school’s growth and success.

eightSchool Programs

Daniels Run offers a variety of enriching programs to nurture student interests and talents. Our programs include the Spanish FLES/LTC Program, the News Team, AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination), Band & Strings, Daniels Run Singers, Girls on the Run, the Library Crew, and the Green Team.

nineCollege & Career Readiness

Preparing students for the future is a key focus at Daniels Run. Through our AVID Program, students gain essential skills for academic and career success. Sixth graders enjoy an inspiring field trip to George Mason University, and our Morning News Show features a weekly highlight of a college or career. Additionally, our Professional Development School (PDS) Partnership with George Mason University enhances learning opportunities for our students.

Families at Daniels Run feel deeply connected to our school. Ninety-five percent of families report feeling welcome and believe our school values diversity and inclusion. Similarly, 95 percent say their child feels safe at Daniels Run.
