Congratulations to Ms. Gabrielle Auza and Ms. Alexandra Dilldine on being recognized as the April FCPS Cares Recipient of the Month for Region 5 by the Department of Human Resources. Congratulations, Ms. Auza and Ms. Dilldine!

Below is the write up submitted by Ms. Beth Lonergan, a colleague at Daniels Run Elementary School. 

After school, on the late afternoon of the Friday before Spring Break, we realized that a lot of families had not been able to pick up their bags of food for the week long vacation. These bags of food were for the families of our students who participate in the Food 4 Thought program. Because of the vacation, these bags were larger than regular Friday F4T bags and they were too heavy to send home with the students. An announcement went out to the school asking for help and Gaby answered the call. Along with another teacher, Gaby delivered ten bags of food to some of our most vulnerable families. Trudging up and down sets of stairs the two teachers delivered all ten bags and ensured that the families received this support. All of this extra work on a day, and at a time, when most people are eager to head home and start their Spring Break vacation!
